DAVIS RHODES

LOVE this guy. As a quite young artist Davis Rhodes is not very known yet, but I love his style and the materials he uses. The way he's making the rough cuts through the colourful vinyl is so organic, yet so graphic when watched from the front. The more "traditional" paintings I also find interesting; they are stapled to the wall, but leaning to the ground, forcing the viewer to physical engagement. He is also interesting for his way of working between painting, sculpture and installation and in a way all at the same time!
